Our Story:
And really, it wasn’t much good having anything exciting like floods, if you couldn’t share them with somebody.”
―A.A. Milne,Winnie-the-Pooh
And, that’s exactly what we're doing… sharing the discoveries we made navigating unexpected health challenges, the floodwaters of the past several decades of our lives together.
Cancer, bacterial meningitis, endometriosis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, anxiety, Lyme disease, depression, digestion disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, insomnia, polycystic ovaries, asthma, hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, brain fog, parasites, memory issues and adrenal fatigue: this collective family list of obstacles became ‘Life University’ for us.
We are passionate about helping others who are looking for answers like did. We went outside the box to uncover nutritional, homeopathic, integrated and functional health solutions. They were game changers for us.
Disease management by symptom management was not effective for us. We wanted more quality of life. A person can lose their identity and freedom when they give themselves over to the medical establishment looking for a cure to chronic disease. This is detrimental and can have long term negative implications. (The medical model is best equipped to address acute or surgical needs.)
Instead our health journey has taught us that 'Real Health' is found when 5 key areas are addressed.
- 1Your mind-body connection.
- 2Reduce your toxic load.
- 3Consuming whole foods (Real Food) – vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds and sprouts in their least processed form. Free of toxins, GMO’s and soy. Consume grass feed beef, organic chicken and wild caught fish.
- 4Add specific super nutrition supplements (third party certified) that are toxin free blends of vitamins, minerals, nutrient-dense superfoods, essential omega-3 fatty acids and powerful enzymes.
- 5Regular exercise that is at least 20 minutes a day / 5 days a week.
We all have stress and challenges in life that push daily against our healthy immune boundaries. Going against the grain to fight for your health is not always looked upon with a friendly eye. On our journey, we balance both allopathic medicine with homeopathic and nutritional disciplines to serve the best interests of our complex human bodies.
Our Purpose:
To provide exceptional health and wellness resources & education. To equip you to live your healthiest life.

By Shannon: our daughter's story on life these past 15 years.
We are still here. We invest in our health with the gift of every breath. Our heart is to serve and educate you with what we discovered on our journey. The wellness journey can be just plain hard, requiring tough commitments, discipline and difficult changes. It is a journey best walked with someone who gets it.
My golf-loving Dad was a respiratory therapist turned entrepreneur / business owner. He spent 30 years in the trenches of business, sales, marketing and executive leadership to provide for us.
My pug-loving, bookworm Mom, worked as a Registered Nurse for 30 years while raising my two older brothers and me along with helping Dad in business. She also did care-giving for sick family members and battled a variety of autoimmune illnesses. She tirelessly researched alternatives and sought out-of-the-box remedies that might make an impact on the un-well people in her life. At that time, I was such a person.
This jaundiced, C-section baby, turned dancing 'circus-monkey’, kept it all inside for 14 years. Then my body finally blew a fuse and I thought my life was over. Teenagers tend to feel that way, but for me it was a reality. Everything I knew, loved and wanted to get out of life was systematically stripped away. I was very sick, and my sick was full of mysteries.
By 19, I was zombie sitting at home sinking into nothingness. Doctors declared me a lost cause. Being medically written off was an emotional death sentence for a kid who wanted to live. I felt like I’d be good for nothing as my body held on. Turns out, according to Winnie the Pooh, I was right.
“People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.”
―A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh

Today I’m in the best shape of my life thanks to determination, persistence and the treasure trove of resources and education we discovered. Healing is a journey and not without challenges. The fight to get my life back had the positive effect of building my faith in God, my courage and my determination. I gain ground and vibrancy one day at a time.
“The things that make me different are the things that make me - me.” ―A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh
Our struggles brought us together. We fought uphill for survival. We’re continuing to learn, adapt and grow.
“Now then, Pooh," said Christopher Robin, “Where’s your boat?”
“I ought to say," explained Pooh as they walked down to the shore of the island, “that it isn’t just an ordinary sort of boat. Sometimes it’s a Boat, and sometimes it’s more of an Accident. It all depends.”
―A.A. Milne,Winnie-the-Pooh
So whether you’re on top, underneath, or supporting someone by walking beside, we’re passionate to help you weather the health-based storms of this life.
Through the unique educational resources we have gathered into our boat, or learned from our accidents, it is a privilege to share these Vital Health Resources.
We thank you for caring and invite you to come along with us on this life-long adventure of learning, where we hope to make the world a better place.
